Who runs the site

This site is run by Sio Son Kong, who is also its data protection officer. Contact: hello@macaudrivingtheory.com.

Without an account

Your answers, test results, lesson quizzes and wording choice are saved only in your browser on your device. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

With an account

We save:

• your email address, and the first name you give us (optional);
• every answer you give;
• your handed-in tests and lesson quizzes;
• your settings.

If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address and name. We do not get your Google password or anything else from your Google account.

We use this only to show you your progress on your devices.

Error reports

When you report an error we save what you write, which question it is about and which wording you saw, the page you were on, and your email if you give it. If you're signed in, the report is linked to your account. Only the site owner can read reports. Reports are deleted after 12 months.

Visit counts

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not follow you across other sites. It tells us things like which pages are visited and the type of device and country, never who you are.

Who stores it

• Supabase stores accounts and progress on servers in Singapore.
• Resend sends the sign-in emails. It gets your email address and the code, nothing else.
• Vercel hosts the website and counts visits.
• Google handles sign-in if you choose Continue with Google.

These services are outside Macau, so if you create an account or send a report, your data is stored outside Macau.

Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone else. There are no ads.

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses no tracking cookies. It uses your browser's storage to keep your progress, your settings and, if you sign in, your sign-in.

How long, and how to remove it

Your account data is kept until you delete your account. Delete my account removes your account and everything saved in it straight away. Error reports you sent are kept after that, without the link to your account.

To ask for a copy of your data, or for anything else about your data, email hello@macaudrivingtheory.com.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop us using it. Email hello@macaudrivingtheory.com. You can also delete your account yourself at any time.

Sending data over the internet

Data sent over the internet can travel without full protection and could be seen or used by others. This site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to reduce that risk.

Changes
